How to read the scale
Each issue has two poles, printed under its scale. Every list is placed on the line between them, from minus two at one pole to plus two at the other, in half-point steps. Distances are comparable across rows because every row uses the same nine steps.
The mark is the list’s stated position, read from its platform and from what its leader has said in public, not from voting records, and each party page links the sources. A list that has published no position gets no mark. The scale records where a list stands. It says nothing about how much the list cares, or what it would trade away in coalition talks.
