Who they are
Sanaallah was born in 1948 and is a lawyer from Deir al-Asad. He led its local council from 2009 to 2013. He returned as council head in December 2017 under a rotation agreement with Ahmad Dabbah and left the post in 2018.
Positions and record
Energy: In July 2018, supported clean energy subject to protecting residents and natural resources, and opposed wind turbines that would constrain Deir al-Asad’s expansion and planned industrial zone.
Housing: In April 2018, favoured the Israel Land Authority managing development of a planned 522-home neighbourhood, arguing that the council lacked sufficient engineering capacity.
