Who they are
Hujeirat was born in Bir al-Maksur in the Galilee in 1965 and holds a doctorate in genetics from the Hebrew University. He set up a molecular genetics laboratory at Ha'Emek Medical Center in 1997, later ran a programme promoting Arab employment and managed MyHeritage's coronavirus testing laboratory. He headed Bir al-Maksur local council from 2008 to 2013 and entered the Knesset in 2022.
